Is football just a massive commercial for the military?

Yo, what's up guys, it's Kai, coming at you again with another media blog. This week I'm gonna be talking about how both college and NFL football is just one big advertisement for the military. This weekend while watching the Titans play the Patriots, there was a section talking about how one of the Titans' coaches was a veteran. Then I thought back to the beginning of the game where the military members held out the flag, then again to when they had the planes fly over Gillette Stadium.
There are two college football games every year that are the only games played on a specific day. The one that anyone, even if they don't watch the sport, knows that the national championship is the only game played on that day. The only other game that's like that: The Army vs. Navy game.This game is probably the only mainstream college football game that is played pretty much how it was played a hundred years ago. The ground game and running the ball is how both of these teams operate. The game is won in the trenches, at the line of scrimmage. At the end of the day, the biggest, strongest guys will win, and thats what the military is all about. 
All of the New Years Six bowl games get national press and are all anyone is talking about the weeks leading up to them. The most famous one of these games is "The Granddaddy Of Them All," The Rose Bowl. This has one of the most spectacular scenes that you will see all year. Oh, you thought i was talking about the best Big10 team pitted against the best Pac12 team? No no no, I was talking about when the B-2 Stealth Bomber flies over the crowd as the National Anthem finishes. Then we get to the football game.
The military are using the most broadcasted sports in America to get themselves a large amount of advertising. Wether we like it or not, whenever we turn on that football game, we should know that we are simply watching a longer, more interesting commercial for the military. This week I was reading an article about the New Hallmark Channel Hanukkah movies, when I came across a term I hadn't seen in nearly a year. "The War on Christmas." Scandalous Popes

Yo, what's up guys, it's Kai back again with another media blog. This week I saw a video on Youtube by Sam O'Nella Academy, one of my favorite youtubers. It was about the Popes who did some not very pope like things while at the head of the Catholic church. The first thing I saw when I opened the video was an ad for the new Google Pixel 4 phone, and that was before the second ad, one for sprint. Those were both before I even got into the video. The first thing that he says is "This video is sponsored by Skillshare." Thats an advertisement for three commercials before I even got to start watching the video. The video itself was entertaining enough, but he ended the video with some seemingly prewritten words to say about how great of a website Skillshare is. He did morph them into his own by adding a personal touch, but it was all in the name of getting people to apply to Skillshare. Yo, what's up guys, it's Kai coming at you with a brand new media blog. Today i'm gonna show you how memes are taking over the world one person at a time. We all know that memes are a huge part of our culture, especially as high schoolers, and as well as making us laugh, the also portray many different world views. The "OK Boomer" meme was a perfect example of this. The young people of America felt that the boomers belittled everything that they did simply because they were young, and thus the OK Boomer meme was formed. Through this they showed the American people that just because they're young, doesn't mean they don't have a voice. Currently we are all making memes and tik toks about WW3 and just making fun of the whole situation. In actuality, its simply a two nation conflict between the USA and Iran.
